WEST DEER, Pa. – Superintendent Dr. Janell Logue-Belden announced today that beginning next Wednesday, March 25, the Deer Lakes School District teachers will implement remote instruction for all grades. These are mandatory school days and teachers will assess the students’ work based on the curriculum.
According to Logue-Belden, “Remote instruction is a virtual school day when students and staff have an opportunity to explore and engage in meaningful learning experiences that are aligned to the curriculum, connected to standards and relevant to the current instructional sequence. These days are intended to continue to afford students meaningful learning experiences while remaining connected with their teachers as we all do our best to navigate our way through this unprecedented situation.”
Additional details for how this will look at each building will be shared out in the coming days.
